With immersive stories, hands-on exhibits and many static planes to marvel at, the Sullenberger Aviation Museum’s completely reimagined galleries allow visitors to explore the aircraft, artefacts and people that make up the aviation industry.
A particularly fascinating highlight is being able to see first-hand the plane behind the “Miracle on the Hudson” – officially known as US Airways Flight 1549, which safely landed on the Hudson River in New York.
Situated on the grounds of Charlotte Douglas International Airport in Charlotte, North Carolina, the Sullenberger Aviation Museum is one of the only aviation museums located at a major airport.
